The “Saint Michel” Care Center, inaugurated on 19 June 2010, coordinates, within the Diocese of Boaur, the prevention and treatment of people suffering from sexually transmitted infections, who are positive for HIV or affected by ‘AIDS.
To come to the aid of the needs of the most distant and disadvantaged people, the “Saint Michel” Care Center has thought of creating a “mobile unit” that can go every month to the savannah villages both to the patients who are in the care of the center and to help the people who don’t have access to health centers.
In addition to this, it will also be possible to home-visit and treat people infected with HIV , to do preventive work and to collect statistical data on almost unknown sections of the population.
