The Center opens its doors

The Center opens its doors

Feast day, Monday 29 June at Holy Family Catholic Center mission in Ban Pong in northern Thailand.
The Center has finally opened its doors to welcome children and girls for the start of the new school year scheduled for mid-May but for the health emergency, which also affected the country of Southeast Asia, it postponed to 1 July.
(The data of the Virus in Thailand updated to date, Monday 29 June, speak of 3.169 confirmed cases of which 3.053 recovered and 58 deaths).
The excitement of this new beginning was clearly visible on the faces of the children and their parents, welcomed in the large multipurpose room of the mission.
This year the Centre hosts 69 elementary school children and 20 new teenage girls who will attend the cutting and sewing course at Bankonthip.
The new Center staff, made up of 11 older girls, had the opportunity in the past few weeks to better prepare the reception by putting all the health directives into practice.

Monday 1 July the children started to go to school covering, with a mask, the 3 kilometers between the center from and the school, accompanied by the girls who make up the staff.

To support the activity of the Center, from 2019 the project “distance school adoptions” began: a concrete way to ensure a secure future for the new generations, an easy way to support the Holy Family Catholic Center in the context of the reception and literacy of young guests.
