The HFCC in aid of flooded villages
16/08/2021 - News
Following heavy rains that affected the area of Chiang Rai province, in northern Thailand, between 9 and 13 August many villages in the mountains were hit by rivers of mud that invaded and flooded the homes.
In particular, one of the most affected villages was that of Sankredthong, less than 4 kilometers from the Holy Family Catholic Center. A large part of the population, especially the little ones, found refuge in the church, where they could spend the following nights “indoors” and in safety.
On August 14 and 15, the girls who reside in the Ban Pong mission, and part of the staff of the Center went to the village to bring basic necessities to clothes, helping to clear the houses from the debris brought in from the current and the mud; thus bringing concrete help to the population.
